I have been doing Crossfit for 3 years and worked out up until the day I gave birth. I worked out 4 times a week, even RX'd most of the WODS and had an amazing pregnancy!! I gained 30lbs and have already lost 24lbs in 4 weeks. I really credit it to CF!! My due date was Aug. 7th and gave birth Aug. 6th.
So here is my story... Fri, Aug. 5th I went to my gym Crossfit Wilmington and did a modified version of Fight Gone Bad then came home and started feeling funny around 8:30am. Contractions had started and I thought they were Braxton Hicks but
> they weren't. Called the dr and they said come in so they could check
> me. I was at 2cm and 100% effaced. I stayed there for a little bit
> then went home to labor at the house. Took warm showers, sat on
> birthing ball, walked and walked. Around 8:30pm thought hmmm maybe we
> should head to the hospital. Was still at 2cm. I then got to 4cm and they took my blood for an epidural....I went from 4cm to 8cm in an hour without any medicine! I had intense labor during this short amount of time!! I did not need to be induced, did not have pitocin and my water broke on its own...but I did get
the epidural. I tried my best to go all natural but couldn't. I got the epidural it was heaven. Then we rested for a bit. The dr and nurses came back in and said it was time to push. Only 26 minutes later out came Harrison! Was not in delivery very long and pushed for half that time!!!! Harrison was born healthy at 8lbs 19inches. He scored 10 on his Apgar. So blessed and in love with this sweet sweet boy!!

Thanks for all the knowledge and for providing us with an amazing resource!! The CF mom website is so awesome and I really appreciate all the wod's,tips, encouragement and support!!

With Much Fondness,
Tracy Tertzagian

Congratulations! I'm glad the delivery went well and you were able to work out until the end. Of course he scored a 10. :D

Your testimony is so encouraging. With my first pregnancy I was in the delivery room for 18 hours, pushed for 4 hours. I wasn't a crossfitter back then and gained about 65lbs. I am hoping this time around my story is similiar to yours! I'm 20 weeks, trying to get to the gym at least 3 days a week and so far have only gained 12lbs. Hoping I can maintain this rhythm for another 20 weeks! Your baby boy is absolutely precious!
