As long as your belly is not in the way, and you don't go too heavy, you should be fine. If the "jump and land" part of the movement become uncomfortable, use the muscle snatch technique. Do the HPC, but don't have your feet leave the ground. You usually have to use a lighter weight to do this, but that's ok. Working the muscles through the range of motion is the important part right now.
